My Creative Time's February Stamp release BLOG HOP!

Welcome to the My Creative Time's February Stamp Release Blog Hop. If you came from Liz's blog, you are in the right place. Ok so this week has been a little crazy for me..I've been sick with a sinus infection but manage to get some crafty time in..For those of you who asked, yes the last mini album I made took a long time...Let's just say my poor house was not the cleanest but at least the family was fed..lol..Have you seen all the beautiful projects the design team members have made so far?? I was left speechless!! They totally rocked this release! I'm loving this set because it's so versatile..I especially love the background stamps! Ok enough blabbing..I have a lot to show you today!! For my project I created yet another Spring mini album using several of Miss Emma's stamps and dies. I cut the shape of the mini using the MCT XL Label Die...I used thin cereal box for my base..I then covered it using designer paper.

I cut this tiny vellum envelope with my Cricut..It was in my stash so I'm not sure which cartridge I used. Check out my cute little tags!

The window has a hinge which opens to reveal the beautiful flowers..

Since the "HELLO" was stamped on the glitter part of the paper, the image was as not crisp. But I think it's just as beautiful!

MCT Sneak Peek Day #2

Welcome to day #2 of the MCT Sneak Peek release! I am so excited about this release! These stamps can really be added to anything!!! I am in love with Emma's background stamps! We are showcasing the Chicken Wire and Flower Background set..This set can be used in so many ways..For my project, I used this set to stamp my tags in my mini album. I used the Graphic 45 Once Upon a Springtime Collection with this set! It went perfect with the Spring time theme!! I just love how the album turned out!!

My album is made out of recycled cereal boxes..For my blue flower, I used the Scallop and Stitched Circle Die Set. Its made out of Melissa Frances Crepe Paper! LOVE IT!! Behind the bunny I added a cute little egg using the Hello Spring set.

I love how chunky this album is!!

I tucked my tags inside the allbum..I made them using the XL label Die.

Here is a closer look at the my tags..I used the Chicken Wire and Flower Background. I then distressed them using Tim Holz vintage photo.

I used the egg die from Happy Hunting to make more tags. How cute are these!!

I made a small tag book for more journaling..

Can you see the small eggs tucked behing the flowers? Yep..more tags!!

Monday Madness Imagine That!

Welcome to another Monday Madness Imagine That at My Creative Time!! Wow! This weekend has gone so fast!!! Two birthday parties and the Super Bowl?? This is a tired mommy! Even with the madness, I was able to make this simple card using my Imagine. Its been a while since Ive actually used the print option on my machine. My Imagine is my primary machine for all my cuts. (too lazy to get the other machines out, lol) I used the Nursery Tails Imagine Cart for my background. It was cut at 5 by 7. The mushroom, butterfly and firefly were cut at 5 inches. I used the layer option for the firefly and the butterfly and popped them up on dimensionals. For my sentiment, I use the Teeny Tag Greetings set. I really wanted to keep it simple but some how I ended up adding some trim from Frog Feathers..I think it turned out cute.

Throwback Thursday Challenge!

Welcome to another wonderful Throwback Thursday Challenge at My Creative Time! Today's challenge is to make a project involving Valentines Day or Love..When I think of Valentines Day, I think of flowers. This was a great opportunity for me to use my Flower Shoppe Cart..Love how my paper flowers turned out! I made this card for my hubby for the big V day.. I added some beautiful trim which I received from my friend Zoe. It went perfect with the card! Thanks Zoe! The flowers were cut at 3 inches..I cut part of the smaller flower to change size. The heart is actually part of a dollie I found at the dollar store. I used pearls for the outline of the heart. I used the 100% Sweetness stamp set for my sentiment.

3D WEDNESDAY at MCT

Welcome to another fabulous 3D Wednesday at My Creative Time!! It has been a crazy week at home due to some sickie kids and a sickie hubby!! Thank goodness everyone is getting better because it sure took a lot out of me!

For my project, I made a cute valentine home decor..I was inspired by a picture I found on Pinterest. Here is the link. Instead of using photo's, I made some flowers using Miss Emma's wonderful stamps. For my leaves, I used the Teeny Tag Greetings set. How cute is that!! Unfortunately the candy didn't last very long at my house..hee hee....I bought the tin bucket in the dollar section at Target. I found the lit branches at Michael's. The battery box is hidden inside the tin bucket.

MCT's January Stamp Release BLOG HOP

Welcome to the My Creative Time's January Stamp Release Blog Hop! If you came from Liz's blog you are in the right place. Its been an awesome week and now we get to show you all of the new stamps Miss Emma has been working on. And boy, did she do a fabulous job! I'm having so much fun playing with these stamps that my family has to pry me out of my scrappy happy place! Hee hee..Today, I will be showing you a card using the new Grand Slam set. I do have to admit that these sports themed projects are a little challenging.. It's only because my kids are not in any sports..I do have a ton of nieces and nephews who do play sports..(about 18 of them, and 5 great nieces and nephews!!!!) I love how this card turned out. I stamped the BB player image on designer paper using embossing ink. I then embossed the image with clear embossing powder. Fussy cutting the image was a challenge but I think it came out pretty cool. I used the Script Type Backgrounds stamp set for my background. The base of the card is 5 by 4 1/2 inches.

MCT Sneak Peek Day Two

Hello My Creative Time friends!! Today is day #2 of January's Sneak Peek week at MCT!! Did everyone enjoy their weekend? I actually got some crafty time to myself! YAY me! Anyways, I'm so excited about this new release! It just might be my favorite..so far!! Emma out did herself again!! This new stamp set is from the MCT More Gift Card Sentiments.I made the gift card holder using the Embossed Gift Card Holder die I used DCWV Adhesive Fabric Paper. I had to run the die a few times through my machine but it worked! Yes its fabric! I added Velcro to the gift card so it can later be used as a brag book or mini album. I made this for my niece who is expecting her first baby. I love how it turned out!

3D Wednesday with MCT!

Welcome to My Creative Time's 3D Wednesday! Today's challenge is to create a 3D project that is not a card or a layout. For my project, I made a shadow box of our cute fur baby Roxi. I love this picture of Roxi and wanted to display it in a special way. I used the All Around Birthday stamp set and the Scallop and Stitched Circle Die set to make the clock. The clock hands are from Tim Holtz of course. For the name plate, I used the Build a Banner Kit. I got the letters and numbers from the Any Day Bingo and Crossword set. I then added a border punch around the frame. Isn't my fur baby cute!!!

Here are the measurements for the box I'm sure there are a ton of tutorials out there for the box but this was my take on it. FYI, I'm not good at instructions when it comes to measurements but I managed to take a few photos of what I did.

5 3/4 by 4 1/2

Score on each side at 1 inch

Score on each side at 1 1/8 inch

Draw out center box and cut out

3 3/4 and 1 inch

(This is your center piece for your photo)

It should look something like this. Add the small strip to the inside flaps of the back of the box. Adherer the front piece to the back piece of the box. Shadow Box

Hi everyone!! I just wanted to share this quick project with you today. I made this shadow box using Tim Holtz configuration boxes. Most of the embellishments are also Tim Holtz except the Marion Smith trinket flower and the bird cage. My favorite part was the distressed bible that I found on a baptism favor. I inked all the edges of the tiny book...I made this for my awesome dad who recently lost his mommy..I hope this will keep her in his memory forever..

Throwback Thursday Challenge

Welcome to the first 2012 Throwback Thursday Challenge!! For today's challenge, we are using a Sports cartridge. If you don't own a Sports cartridge (like me) then use any cartridge & make it into a "Sports" like card OR layout! I have to admit, these sports themed challenges are INDEED a challenge for me!!

For my project, I made this LO of my daughter and her soccer team. This was a great way for me to finally get these pictures in an album..Yea I know, it was taken five years ago...but that's the best thing about these challenges..They force you to get these pictures out your photo boxes!

I used the Paper Dolls Dress Up Cartridge to cut the little soccer player out. She is cut at 6 inches. For my background, I stamped the word "soccer" using the Sports Sentiments Stamp set. I drew a grid line on the paper before I stamped the image. I then erased the pencil markings after I was done with the stamping. I think it gave it a cool and unique background. Since I didn't have a sports themed cart, I cut a large circle in white to represent the ball. I added bling around the circle to give it a finished look. I also added bling to the bottom of the girls cleats. I think the layout came out cute but I'm not sure if I was totally happy..but Miss Emma always say, there is no mistakes in paper crafting..:) Sorry for the bad lighting..I didn't have any natural light and the flash was not on my side..

MCT Stitched Lollipop Holder Die

Hi bloggers...I know it's been a while but like a lot of us, I'm still recovering from the holidays..I love Christmas but I'm glad it's done and over..(YES..call me Mrs Grinch) Anyways, although I have not been posting much, I have been crafting..well mostly small projects but I wanted to share a BIG project with you guys today. I bought a shadow box for me and my hubby at Hobby Lobby. The shadow box is suppose to represent a locker which would be found in a police locker room. The original box was an ugly finished box with photos of random police officers. I had my awesome FIA make one large box to house two of the exact shadow boxes. Each box were $60 but I use my 50% coupon for each box. My FIA also ordered some glass to fit the unit from Home Depot. I then added the small details inside of the box, including an IPhone, pencils, folders, and socks. I personalized it by adding badge numbers and name tags. I made a pencil using a tooth pick! This is the frame my Father-in-law made for me. He is so talented!

This is the original shadow box before I added anything to it.

Here I added the pencils. I wrote in my hubby's badge number on the radio. I also added the emergency button using a gold bling.

I added our badge numbers and name tag. I used a Dymo label maker to make the name tag. I cut a part of the shirt (the back) and made a pocket. I then added a vintage button. I used rub and buff on all the buttons and badges.

A picture of the IPhone was printed off the Internet and backed with black craft foam sheets.

I made the magazine using actually clippings from a real magazine. I went on-line and printed out the cover page from the scrapbooking website.

I painted the frame with gray acrylic paint and then used silver rub and buff..A little goes a long way! The socks are from an 18' doll. I got them from Michael's.

Although this was a huge project, I enjoyed making it. We will always have these memories. I love that our lockers are together..To me this represents how we met..Yes we were partners..many, many years ago! I hope you have enjoyed my project.Please let me know what you think. Big crafty hugs!

My Creative Time's 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS ~DAY 12

Welcome to Day 12 of the MCT's 12 days of Christmas blog hop! If you came from Liz's blog, you are in the right place. We are on our last day but that doesn't mean we will stop using Miss Emma's beautiful stamps! This is only the beginning..I still have several things up my sleeves!! I have to admit, this is one of my favorite projects I have made during the hop. Can you believe I made a mini album using the MCT Stitched Lollipop Holder Die?? My pages were also cut using the die but I cut the center part of the paper out to make two pages. I punched two holes in each page including the front cover. I looped ribbon through the pages and tied it in a bow. I used the MCT Scalloped and Stitched Circle Die to embellish the mini album. I love how cute this turned out!! Whatcha think? I hope you enjoyed the hop a much as I have!

YAY! The weekend is finally here!! I'm so glad because I deserve some much needed time with my family!! We are on DAY 11 of the 12 day's of Christmas blog hop..WOW, that was fast! Although I'm sad to see it end, I'm very happy you could join us! For my project, I made a canvas using rolled up patten paper. I have seen this done on several Christmas cards. I have also seen Jinger Adams from Provo Crafts make a canvas using this technique. I painted a white canvas with red metallic paint. I made swirls using an old gift card while the paint was still wet. I then added the green paint and did the same technique. I cut 13 strips at six inches in width and starting at 10.5 in length, I cut each strip half an inch shorter for each layer. (I hope that makes sense). I then rolled each strip using a pencil.I cut a brown piece of cardstock for the stump of the tree and added a snowflake as my star. I found the snowflake at the dollar store. I then added MCT All Around Accessories to make my cute little snowman and MCT Scalloped and Stitched Circle Die for the center of my snowflakes.. I think it came out pretty cute! For my project, I made some gift card holders using MCT Embossed Gift Card Holder Die and Scalloped and Stitched Circle Die Set. The gift card holders are so versatile! You can use them for any special occasions! I used the MCT All Around Christmas stamp set to make these cute Christmas gift card holders! I used the MCT XL Label Die as my tag. Love how they turned out!!

Christmas is approaching and I still have so much to do! Like the pile of presents in my closet that need to be wrapped!! Any volunteers?? I always seem to wait til the last minute to wrap them! Happy Thursday!! Hope you are having a fabulous day! We are on Day 8 of the My Creative Time 12 days of Christmas Blog Hop. If you came from Liz's blog, you are in the right place. Every year my kids and I make a Christmas ornaments to add to our tree..I am planning to make one this weekend but for now, let me show you last years ornament. It was always missing something so when I saw Emma's stamps, I knew exactly what it was! These are very simple to make. Get any solid colored ornament of your choice. Using Acrylic paint, brush a generous amount on your child's hand. Starting from the palm of you child's hand, roll it over the ornament. Try to keep the fingers separated. If you want to take it one step further, add a face to each little fingerprint. You can also dress it up by making the hand print upside down and making it Santa's beard. Just all his jolly face! I finished it off with some ribbon and MCT All Around Christmas stamps set. Don't forget to add the year it was made! I thought these would also be a cute gift for all the Nana's and Papa's out there! Whatcha think? I hope you've enjoyed today's project.

Hello My Creative Time friends! Welcome to Day 7 of the MCT's 12 days of Christmas Blog Hop! If you came from Liz's blog, you are in the right place. For my project, I wanted to make something quick and and simple to give as a Christmas gift. I thought this would be a great gift for any book lover and crafter! I used the MCT My Favorite Sayings Stamps to make this cute little book mark. I cut the shape using the MCT XL Label Die. I cut the base of the shape out of a thin cereal box then covered it with designer paper. I put a paper clip in between the two layers and adhered them together. I added some ribbon to finish it off. Welcome to Day 6 of the MCT 12 days' of Christmas blog hop! If you came from Liz's blog, you are in the right place. We are half way through the hop and all I can say is WOW!! Emma and MCT DT have blown me away with their awesome projects! They a super talented and I am so proud to be part of this team! I hope you have picked up a few ideas along the way..And we are only getting started!

Today's project was actually easier then it looks. I bought a $2 album from Michael's and jazzed it up a bit. The album was in tented for those 4 by 6 photos we all have but I cut designer paper and used it as my background. I then decorated a few of the pages on top of the page protector's using lace, burlap and of course MCT stamps! I'm sure you recognize the cute little snowman form My Creative Time All Around Accessories Stamps. I cut a few strands of burlap for his arms! How cute is he! I also stamped the snowman directly to the page protector. Adding the paper inside the mini was not originally my idea but I added my own twist to the album. I saw this on a Prima Ustream show a few weeks back. Now, all I have to do is add my photos! No photo mats required.

Welcome to DAY 5 of the My Creative Time's 12 days of Christmas Blog Hop. If you came from Liz's blog, you came to the right place. Christmas is just around the corner and most of us still have some shopping do. I know I do! I thought of making a fun and easy journal for my mother-in-law. I bought a composition notebook from Walmart and covered it with designer paper. I then distressed the edges and inked it up with Tim Holtz vintage photo. I then used mod podge to seal the paper. I tied a ribbon around the front cover to give it a soft look. I used Emma's XL Label Die and XL Label Borders for my title. I then stamped "Nana" and the heart using Anyday Bingo Crossword stamps. I added some yellow brads to finish it off. Cute and simple gift!! I really hope she likes it.

For today's project, I thought outside of the box a little. I collected some coffee sleeves from my local coffee shop knowing I wanted to make a mini album with them. I used Emma's XL Label Die to cover the coffee sleeves using Stampin' Up Christmas paper. I glued the bottom portion of the sleeves to make pockets for journaling or more pictures. I used Emma's stamps throughout the mini. I think her stamps went perfect with them!

For my project, I made a cute little charm bracelet using Emma's stamps and Polly Shrink plastic sheets! This was the first time I've played with Polly Shrink plastic...My kids thought it was the coolest thing ever! It was very simple to use. I just followed the directions..with the exception of using my heat gun instead of the oven. I colored the images before I shrunk them using Bic makers. Lets just say I had a happy camper..I'm going to make another one for my 13 year old daughter using black beads and MCT Keepin' it Classy Stamps. How cool would that be! Stitched Lollipop Holder and Die

For my project, I used MCT's Stitched Lollipop Holder and Die..This was the first time I used the die and I have to admit, it was super easy..and super fun!! Emma also made this die to coordinate with her
Scalloped and Stitched Circle Die..instead of placing it on the top of the lollipop holder, I placed it on the bottom portion..It gave it a different look..There are so many ways to use this die! I (heart) it! These are going to make cute Christmas gifts! Make sure you stop by on day 12...I have a pretty cool project using this die. You do not want to miss it. Also, make sure you show some love to the other DT members..They did some amazing work!

On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me..this cute upcycled frame I made using a binder clip! I love this picture of my mommy and me and thought this would be a great gift for a co-worker in the office. The best part, you can change the picture!! All I did was cover the clip with designer paper, used one of Emma's beautiful stamps and cut it into a banner..Fast and simple gift, right? It's not so festive but I am going to make a few of these as gifts..Best part is they can be displayed all year round! Have an awesome day and don't forget to leave a comment!

Roberts Arts and Crafts-November

Hello! Nancy here from ScrappingoutofControl. It has been so cold lately that I decided to stay home and start putting up my Christmas decorations..Yes I know it's not even Thanksgiving but I LOVE Christmas!!! So for my project, I decided to make so home decor...First you will need your favorite papers, an empty paper towel roll and an empty ribbon roll. Here I used an old Christmas collection from DCWV.

Cut five strips of 6 by 12 paper. I used my Martha Stewart-around the edge page punch for each strip. I then scored the strips at a half an inch using my Martha Stewart scoring board. After you have cut and scored your strips, glue two strips together. You should have a total of five 6 by 24 strips.Glue the paper towel roll to the ribbon roll..The ribbon roll is the base of your tree. (sorry no photo)

Use a strong adhesive to glue the strips starting from the bottom up. Continue to glue the strips on the paper towel roll. Make sure you over lap the layers. For the final layer, cut a strip of paper 3.5 by 6 inches. glue the ends together and make triangle shaped rosette. Add adhesive to the top of the paper towel roll and add the last layer.

And now the fun part..decorate your tree! I used a snowflake as the tree topper and used Diamond Dust as my snow.
